Bryggeriet Gymnasium opened in August 2006. The first class is made up of 30 skaters, 10 dancers, and 10 just specialising in media, primarily kids from the local estates. This year adds another 50 to the mix. By the third and final year of the first intake, there will be a student body of 150.

The idea waas to incorporate skateboarding as a subject on the school curiculum. Since then a lot of things has happened at Bryggeriet and we have continued to develop the skate scene in Malmö to one of the greatest on the planet with not only the world class indoor park that is Bryggeriet Malmö Skatepark, but four excellent concrete parks by the name Stapelbäddsparken, Sibbarp Skatepark, Oxie Skatepark and Åkarp Skatepark as well.
